Tell us a little bit about yourself, your background, your interests, etc.
I have taught for 19 years, 14 at SIA. I'm a graduate from Delta State University with a degree in elementary education. I'm an MSU fan and enjoy going to MSU football and women's basketball games. I also enjoy reading and love to travel, especially to a concert.
Do you have a favorite book? How about a favorite movie?
Any Nicholas Sparks books. I like to read biographies, especially celebrities. My favorite movie is Forrest Gump.
If you could wake up in the morning and start a new adventure, what would it be?
Traveling around the world. I want to try to visit all 50 states.
What is your favorite thing about teaching?
When students get excited about what they are learning and also to see a student grasp a concept or get that "grade' they have been working towards.
When your're not working, how do you spend your time?
Attending Allison's sporting events, trips with Billy, family time and events, and watching TV, relaxing or reading.
What might we be surprised to know about you?
I work outside all summer at a 2nd job. I cut grass, weed eat, backpack spray on a pecan tree farm.
