I have a Bachelor of Science in Education ( B.Sc.Ed.) and a Master of Education (M.Ed) from Delta State University. I'm a National Board Certified Teacher. I retired after 25 years in public schools. I grew up in Fitler and moved back to my childhood home upon retirement.

Do you have a favorite book? How about a favorite movie?

My favorite book is The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. My favorite movie is Gone with the Wind.

If you could wake up in the morning and start a new adventure, what would it be?

I would love to travel to Alaska and enjoy the sights there. I love the outdoors and have always wanted to travel there.

What is your favorite thing about teaching?

There is nothing like the feeling of having a student who has been struggling with a skill to finally grasp that concept and succeed. I also love seeing my former students succeed in life!

When you're not working, how do you spend your time?

I love flea markets, fishing, and spending time with family.

What might we be surprised to know about you?

Ms. McAfee taught me Algebra and Geometry in high school.
